According to the Discover Small Business WatchSM, small business increased spending usage of social networking sutes for their business

The number of small business owners, who said to the Watch that they were members of an online social networking community such as Facebook, Linked-In, My Space or Twitter, has increased to 48% compared to 22% in 2007. 55% of the respondents said that they used it for promoting their businesses.
While the number of small business owners who have Web sites increased from 37% in 2009 to 45% in 2010, there are still many who said they don’t need one. Of the 55% of them who don’t have a Web site – 57% said their businesses will never have one; 29% said they will; and the rest 14% of them are not sure.
Around 44% of small business owners said that they used e-mail to promote their businesses – up from 40% in 2009.
