According to health officials in Maryland, the state’s new small business insurance exchange, which is expected to give employers access to more comprehensive and affordable health plans, will not be ready until April, 2014.
President Obama announced a plan days before news came from Maryland’s officials to allow insurers to continue offering some health plans they had to cancel because of the new provisions under the Affordable Care Act.
Many states have turned down the revision and say, insurance companies must offer these minimum benefits as they were originally planned.
