On the 1st December,2010, Toyota Etios was introduced in Bangalore in India. Toyota has entered into the low priced car market in India, by introducing the Toyota Etios in India. This model will be launched in the month of the April in 2011 in India.
According to the officials of the Toyota, this car has been tested on all types of roads. It is aimed to sell the 70,000 units of Etios in 2011. It is 1.5 liter gasoline-powered and it would be priced from Rs 4.9 lahks to Rs. 6.86 lakh. It may provide competition to the models of the companies like Maruthi Suzuki and Tata Indigo.
Nearly Rs 3,200 crores of investment has been made to establish the manufacturing facility. Nearly 70 percent of the parts used are local, and remaining percentage of the parts are imported. From the month of the January, 2011, the booking process will be commenced.
